Four warriors meet in a violent confrontation in ancient Greece, their struggle unfolding beneath the gaze of a young girl. As the combat continues, the precision of each movement gives way to an increasingly stark account of its human cost. Richard Williams’s hand-drawn short uses expressive pencil work and sound without dialogue to contrast the fighters’ physical skill with the child’s experience of what she witnesses.
