Filminformatie

Footage recorded during NASA’s Apollo missions follows astronauts from preparations on Earth into orbit and onto the lunar surface. Their recollections and recorded communications accompany images of work, play and isolation far from home. Al Reinert combines material from different flights into a shared experience of travelling to the Moon, with an atmospheric score by Brian Eno. The film turns attention from a sequence of technical milestones towards the unfamiliar sights and feelings of leaving Earth behind.
