Información de la película

Donna Dewey follows an Interplast medical team during a volunteer visit to Vietnam’s Mekong Delta. American surgeons, anaesthesiologists and nurses work alongside local staff, meeting patients and families before carrying out reconstructive operations. The documentary moves between the demands of the hospital and the personal reasons that brought the volunteers there. Through their encounters, it considers what a short medical visit can mean both for people seeking treatment and for those who have travelled to help.
