Movie info

Ang Lee's Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon is set in a world where martial arts, romance, and personal conflicts are inextricably linked. The film follows warriors caught between lost love, a sense of honor, and the question of whether fate can be escaped. When a legendary sword disappears, a story unfolds where relationships and choices are as important as the fights themselves. The action sequences are described as controlled movement, light, precise, and almost floating, allowing emotions to speak through the imagery of expansive landscapes and intimate moments. The main actors powerfully convey the tension between strength and vulnerability, elevating the film beyond a simple martial arts movie.
