"Inspired by historical events, the film depicts the absurd 1930 abduction of Finland's former president, K. J. Ståhlberg, by a group of ambitious officers. When the president is forcibly taken, his defiant wife, Ester, joins the journey in the back of the car, refusing to leave his side. As they travel through a volatile country, the line between historical fact and legend becomes increasingly blurred in this unique road trip narrative."
